Hong Kong’s aviation sector redefines seamless commercial-to-private aviation transfers Hong Kong is transforming the way travellers move between commercial and private aviation. Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC) and Cathay Pacific are proud to strengthen their collaboration on JetLink—a service designed to provide seamless connections for transiting passengers switching between Cathay Pacific’s First and Business class services and private jet travel.

For transiting passengers, JetLink eliminates the inefficiencies of traditional airport transfers by streamlining the standard customs and immigration procedures typically required of inbound and outbound passengers. HKBAC, together with Cathay Pacific, provide a fully escorted, “wing-to-wing” transfer service on the airside, allowing passengers to enjoy an uninterrupted journey across the terminals, saving up to one-third of the transfer time while maintaining privacy, security, and control.

“Wing-to-wing” transfer service: A new way of travel

JetLink merges commercial and private aviation for efficient travel. As “wing-to-wing” transfer service gains popularity, passengers are discovering a new way of travel that provides a premium experience while maintaining flexibility, security, and time efficiency. “JetLink demonstrates how business aviation can complement commercial travel. Our commitment to JetLink aims to reinforce Hong Kong’s status as a leading transit hub for business aviation while providing a personalized journey for our passengers. Leading executives of multinational corporations who have repeatedly used this service expressed satisfaction with their transit experiences in Hong Kong,” said Vivien Lau, CEO of HKBAC.

Cathay Pacific General Manager Airport Service Delivery Cheuk Lo added: “We are continuously exploring ways to further elevate the customer experience as part of our vision to become one of the world’s greatest service brands. We have seen increasing demand for a seamless, time-saving connection service among our premium customers. Through the ‘wing-to-wing’ transfer service offered by JetLink, our customers can experience the highest levels of service with Cathay Pacific and our partner HKBAC throughout their transit journey.”

Hong Kong setting a global benchmark for seamless aviation

Passengers can now enjoy unparalleled convenience and efficiency with JetLink’s new transfer options. For example, business executives flying from London to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific can transfer directly to a private jet bound for Shanghai or Beijing upon arrival, avoiding unnecessary delays. Similarly, foreign investors arriving in Hong Kong from the Middle East can step directly from a private aircraft to Cathay Pacific’s First class cabin and head for Beijing, Tokyo or Paris, ensuring efficiency and discretion at every stage. With JetLink, passengers can save up to one-third of their transfer time, reducing the process from one hour and 15 minutes to approximately 45 minutes. By working together, HKBAC and Cathay Pacific are reshaping premium travel and setting a new industry standard that reflects the future of seamless “wing-to-wing” transfer service.

The Future of Private Jet Travel: An Interview with Jolie Howard, CEO of L’VOYAGE https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/news/lvoyage/ Mon, 10 Mar 2025 05:50:58 +0000 https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/?p=505123 The Future of Private Jet Travel: An Interview with Jolie Howard, CEO of L’VOYAGE

Private jet travel is shedding its old skin. No longer just the realm of ultra-wealthy execs and stars, it’s now the ultimate tool for those who demand flexibility, efficiency, and seamless travel—without the hassle of commercial chaos. We sat down with Jolie Howard, CEO of L’VOYAGE, to discuss how private aviation is evolving and why it’s more than just a mode of transport; it’s a lifestyle statement.

Private Jets: The Ultimate Shortcut to Freedom

Sarah Keates: Jolie, private aviation has always been about convenience, but what’s pushing its evolution now?

Jolie Howard: Speed, control, and personalization. The latest aircraft tech means faster flights and smarter fuel use. But it’s the total freedom that makes the biggest impact—no rigid schedules, no long security lines, no delays caused by a domino effect of airline mishaps. You decide when and where, not the airline.

Flying as a Lifestyle Choice, Not a Luxury

Sarah Keates: Some say private jet travel is about more than just efficiency—it’s a way of life. Thoughts?

Jolie Howard: Absolutely. It’s about taking back control of your time. Whether it’s skipping the four-hour layover, having a private meeting at 40,000 feet, or bringing your pet along without fuss, private flying is the ultimate expression of autonomy.

Jet-Setting with Pets? No Problem.

Sarah Keates Speaking of pets, how does L’VOYAGE cater to those who won’t leave home without their furry companions?

Jolie Howard: We treat pets like VIPs. They travel in the cabin with you—no cargo holds, no stress. We also handle everything from pet passports to in-flight comfort. It’s all about making sure everyone—four-legged passengers included—enjoys the journey.

Multi-Stop Jet Hopping: Business and Leisure Reimagined

Sarah Keates: Private jets also mean you can hit multiple destinations in a day. How does this play into modern travel needs?

Jolie Howard: Today’s traveler doesn’t have time for inefficient routes. One day in Singapore, a lunch meeting in Bangkok, and dinner in Hong Kong? Done. Private aviation turns multi-stop travel into a seamless experience, especially in a region like Asia, where key business hubs are close but not always well connected by commercial routes. It’s also growing in popularity to combine commercial aviation and business aviation (private jets) – it’s more affordable, gives consistency of service and ultimate flexibility.

Hong Kong’s Role as a Private Jet Hub

Sarah Keates: As a Hong Kong-based company, how does L’VOYAGE tailor its services for the Asian market?

Jolie Howard: Hong Kong is the launchpad to Asia. Our clients expect discretion, impeccable service, and culturally attuned hospitality. Whether that means curating an in-flight menu based on dietary preferences or arranging seamless customs clearance, we focus on details that matter.

The Future of Private Flying: More Than Just Luxury

Sarah Keates: What’s next for private aviation?

Jolie Howard: Sustainability is the big one—more efficient jets, sustainable aviation fuels, and smarter flight planning. We’re also seeing a rise in shared ownership models, making private jet travel more accessible. And of course, digital innovation is streamlining everything from booking to onboard connectivity, keeping travelers seamlessly plugged in.

Interviewer: Jolie, this has been insightful. Thanks for sharing your take on the future of private jet travel.

Jolie Howard: Always a pleasure. The world isn’t slowing down, and neither are we.

Private jet travel is no longer just a status symbol—it’s an essential tool for those who value time, flexibility, and seamless experiences. As the industry evolves, expect even greater accessibility, sustainability, and personalization. And for those ready to take control of their journey, the sky isn’t the limit—it’s just the beginning.

Omar Hosari, Co-Founder and CEO of UAS International Trip Support https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/news/woi-interview-omari-hosari-uas-co-founder-and-ceo/ Fri, 01 Sep 2023 08:22:14 +0000 https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/?p=504408

Your LinkedIn profile states “start where you are, use what you have, do what you can”

What advice would you give to someone new to business aviation and keen to get started?

Business aviation is one of the most dynamic and innovative industries there is, so ‘good choice’ would be the first thing I would say to someone new to it.

Expect things to move quickly and be ready for a lot of competition from a lot of highly competent professionals… Business aviation also lends itself very well to mentorship so I would suggest reaching out to veterans and building relationships with those who are richly experienced and well thought of.

Remember, dedication and hard work always pay off. As does finding new and better ways to do things. Consider my journey; UAS established its first office in Dubai with only a handful of employees to serve a few clients in the Middle East. We set about doing things differently and providing connectivity that had never existed before. The early years were as exciting as they were challenging, but we persisted.

Now, 23 years later, we are a global organization spread across five continents. So, maintain consistent determination and professionalism, be flexible and innovative, and soak all the knowledge and information around you up like a sponge and you will do well.

The most important thing is to maintain forward momentum, even if you can’t always maintain a fast pace.

What advice would you give to someone who was negatively impacted by the last few years and has “lost faith” in the business aviation sector?

The past few years have been a rollercoaster for our industry, there is little doubt about that. The pandemic cost business aviation many excellent professionals, and that loss can still be seen in manpower shortages around the world.

However, if there is anything the post-COVID world teaches us it is that business aviation has a central role in the future of sustainable transport, as well as the future of economic growth at large. Not only is it an industry that never stops progressing, but it is also one that dedicates itself to solving some of the world’s most pressing problems.

Indeed, business aviation is a hotbed for sustainability-related innovations and the creation of greener technologies. Companies are exploring measures such as electric flights, hydrogen-powered aircraft, and the conscious adoption of more sustainable practices to reduce their carbon footprint.

So, if anyone has lost faith in the sector, I would encourage them to look at the current markets – many of which are doing better than they were three years ago, look at the environmental commitments being made, and finally, look at the innovation that is marking the sector as one of the most progressive out there.

UAS recently partnered with IBAC with a shared vision to improve standards in the industry, what are some of the key objectives / milestones you’re working towards?

Uniting our mutual knowledge and influence is vital to the sustained growth of our industry, particularly at times when it is misunderstood and under attack in some quarters. It is our duty to unite as an industry to strengthen our voice and advocate for the conditions required to simplify global operations in order to support supply chains and grow economies.

UAS’ recent partnership with IBAC provides us with the opportunity to assist it in shaping standards before they are adopted and applied as regulations by CAAs in their sovereign countries. And our knowledge and experience of global operational challenges and opportunities afford us excellent insight to share.

We will also be exploring objectives related to aviation sustainability and how we can be a greener industry going forward.

You’re well known for your ability to recognise and respond to industry trends. What are your reflections on the industry in 2023 and your thoughts on 2024?

During the first quarter of 2023, global demand was growing steadily in all regions. I think we are experiencing a plateau of sorts now, with certain markets business jet activity up and some down slightly.

For the U.S. and European markets, I see this as a natural levelling off from the unprecedented post-pandemic demand that will result in a return to slower, steadier growth throughout 2024. I think the Middle East market will be the same.

As demand continues to rise in Asia Pacific, we are reminded that not only is this region booming economically, but it is also still experiencing the effects of China’s reopening earlier this year. I’m certain that the Asia-Pacific charter jet services market will see at least single digit annual growth over the coming few years.

As a leader, how do you ensure your corporate values are applied in practice across the company?

I think in any organization, it is a leader’s role to demonstrate the corporate values he/she sets for the team.

At UAS, those values are a commitment to operational excellence and innovation, personal accountability, a positive attitude, and a client-centric mindset. These are pretty much my personal values also, and if they were not, it wouldn’t work for UAS. For me, integrity is everything, in life and in business. Being guided by our values and acting in congruence with them is inspiring and infectious to those around you.

Recently, we established a new role at UAS that we ask all the team to embody; that of CHO (Chief Heart Officer). This means always considering each other’s wellbeing and exercising more empathy in action to truly support and elevate each other.

Further to this, the UAS Code of Conduct informs employees of the standards expected of them and provides a guide for all professional conduct. This is how we maintain a strong company culture that reinforces our corporate values.

Omar Hosari, UAS CEO with UAS team at EBACE 2023

How much importance do you place on professional development? Both for yourself as a leader and for your colleagues at UAS?

Continuous professional development is crucial to improve competence and ensure happiness and success. My personal quest for improvement never ends.

I enjoy mountain trekking for self-reflection, I regularly read books, follow inspirational people on social media, attend webinars, and participate in various professional associations and forums. I also encourage my employees to do the same and engage in continuous training and sponsored education.

WOI interviewed you 2 years ago; what has changed for UAS and you professionally during this time?

The past two years have seen massive expansion for UAS, particularly in Asia Pacific and Latin America.

We have expanded ground support at key emerging travel hubs dedicated to advocating for our clients’ interest and ensuring they receive the same high standard of quality at every destination. We refer to this as ‘white gloves’ service standard, the premier standard available in trip support globally.

We have entered strategic partnerships in various fields and geolocations to broaden our network and our services portfolio. We have also launched our newest technology, UAS Global Trip Manager.

Developed specifically as a game-changer for the aviation industry, GTM is a powerful and flexible trip management system that puts the user in total control of trip planning activities with real-time access to all trip details at any time and from any location.

We have also made great strides in boosting our thought-leadership through the UAS Forward Discussions at major events and the UAS Leader-to-Leader series when I interview other BizAv leaders from all over the globe.

Finally, we are also committed to sustainability, launching the UAS Sustainable Aviation Fuel initiative in 2022 which sees us drop client handling fees for SAF ordered through us to inspire more operators to make the switch to SAF and help our industry attain its carbon neutral goals.

This 7,000-Year-Old Health System Just Fixed What My GP Couldn’t

My Ayurvedic Awakening in Sri Lanka’s Secret Sanctuary by Sarah Keates. Sri Lanka is famous for its tea, temples, and tropical beaches, but I arrived seeking something more profound: Ayurveda, the ancient Indian wellness system known as the “science of life.” Ayurveda takes a holistic approach to health, aiming to balance mind, body, and spirit. At its heart are the three fundamental energies, or doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. In simple terms, these doshas are like elemental personality types. Vata (air and ether) is the energy of movement – think creativity and spontaneity, but also restlessness. Pitta (fire and water) is the force of transformation – passionate and driven, though prone to intensity. Kapha (earth and water) embodies stability – caring and calm, but sometimes complacent. Each of us is born with a unique mix of these doshas, and if they fall out of balance, Ayurveda says our well-being suffers.

Is Sri Lanka the new Bali? Possibly. Standing on the southern coast, looking out over tangled palms and an ocean that doesn’t seem to end, it’s hard not to draw comparisons. I don’t love pitting one destination against another, but there are parallels. Sri Lanka has the beauty, the forestry, the surf and the serenity—just without the brunch queues and Instagram itineraries. It still feels raw, genuine, and blissfully unspoilt.

The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) has introduced its new Crew Card with security enhancements and recently partnered with ID90 Travel to provide special member benefits to card holders.

Kurt Edwards, Director General, IBAC, commented, “We are excited to launch the new Crew Card with its added ID90 Travel membership. In addition to its globally recognized identity benefits, the Crew Card now offers special travel discounts as a well-deserved perk for card holders in the global business aviation community that work hard to provide first class services to their customers.”

Widely recognized by airport security and facilitation officials around the world, the Crew Card was first introduced by IBAC in 1985 and is increasingly requested by governments as part of crew visa applications.  The new, improved card is aligned with provisions from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Document 9303 and has a bar code system with origination details for enhanced security. In addition, IBAC Crew Card subscribers can opt in to ID90 Travel benefits that offer members exclusive rates on hotels, all-inclusive resorts, cruises, rental cars, and last-minute deals (air travel not included).

IBAC Crew Cards are intended to identify the crew members linked to business aircraft, easing ramp access, and assisting customs identification. The IBAC Crew Card is issued to aviation professionals of business aviation organizations who are current members of one of the 15 IBAC member associations.

Once the IBAC Crew Card subscriber’s credentials are confirmed they will be granted easy access to travel deals through the ID90 Travel mobile app, available through common app stores.

The ID90 Travel platform is built for the aviation industry and includes 1.8 million hotels, all-inclusive resorts, and cruise lines, and a large selection of rental cars worldwide in inventory.

The Importance of Communicating Corporate Values https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/news/communicating-corporate-values/ Fri, 23 Dec 2022 11:07:22 +0000 https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/?p=504238

Communicating corporate values is an important and often overlooked component of the process.

If you don’t effectively communicate corporate values, employees may not understand what the company stands for and may not be as engaged or motivated to work for you. Values provide a guide for employees on how to behave in their roles. It can be used as a guiding principle for decision-making, both for leadership and support staff.

Customers also appreciate when a company has clear values. It can help them make decisions about whether or not to do business with you. If they know that your Business Aviation company has a clear focus on excellence in the areas that matter most to them, they may be more likely to trust you with their money and their time.

communicating corporate values with your team

How to Communicate Corporate Values

Make sure that your corporate values are front and center on your website, in marketing materials, and in any communications that you send out. This helps to create a clear identity for your brand and from here, your customers know what to expect from you.

A clearly communicated set of values also gives your employees a greater sense of purpose. Likewise, attracting talent becomes easier because high-quality candidates will have lots of potential job offers to choose from and a clear set of corporate values helps them to decide which one to choose.

As leaders, it’s important to live your values and be an example for others to follow. This will show your employees and customers that you mean what you say. So, if you have stated that diversity is important to the company, it’s important to go beyond token messages on notable days like International Women’s Day. Instead, look at more substantive policies including supporting flexible working or return-to-work schemes for new parents.

There are a few key ways to communicate corporate values effectively:

Make it Memorable

Create a corporate values statement that is short, easy to understand and easy to remember.

Complicated and wordy corporate values statements can be hard for employees to follow and even harder for customers to understand. It is important to keep your values statement simple and easy to remember.

Live it Every Day

If you want your employees to take your corporate values seriously, you need to lead by example and live them every day. This means making sure that your management team is also following the values. If there are any discrepancies between what is preached and what is practiced, it will be difficult for employees to buy into the corporate values system.

Make sure that everyone in your company is aware of the corporate values and knows how to apply them in their day-to-day work. Teach employees about the history and meaning of the values, and how they can be used to make decisions. Create a company culture that is based on respect, integrity, and accountability, and see where it takes you! As an example, remember these principles should be your guide and be considered in all decision-making. Encourage employees to live the values every day. This can be done through training programs, posters, events, and other communications.

Reward Employees

Reward employees who demonstrate your corporate values in their work. One way to reward employees for demonstrating your corporate values is to give them a special designation or title. For example, you could create a “Values Ambassador” program and give employees who go above and beyond in living the company values special recognition.

You could also give employees who exhibit your corporate values financial incentives, such as a bonus or raise. Or, you could give them a gift card or other type of reward that is meaningful to them.

Whatever you do, make sure that employees know that you appreciate when they live your company values in their work. Thank them for their efforts, and let them know how their actions are positively impacting the company.

Integrate Values into the Employee Lifecycle

At every stage of the job, from hiring to promotion to leave-taking, we should be making decisions that reflect our company’s values. By integrating this into each stage of our employee lifecycle we ensure our new hires can easily make decisions in line with our values and are motivated and engaged to enable our success.

Make it Visible

Make sure your corporate values are front and center on your website, in marketing materials, and in any internal or external communications that you send out.

One easy way to make sure your corporate values are visible is to post them on your company website, in your office, and even print them on employee ID badges. This will help ensure that everyone who works for or does business with you is aware of what the company stands for.

What are your core values? Why do they matter? How do you communicate your corporate values to employees and customers? Let us know!

Business Aviation: How to Create Effective Corporate Values https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/news/create-effective-corporate-values/ Thu, 17 Nov 2022 08:59:09 +0000 https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/?p=504119
To create effective corporate values, it is essential to start with purpose – why your business exists in the first place. Once you have defined this purpose, you can then determine which specific values will help you to stand out from the competition and be successful over the long term.

Start with Purpose

What is the mission or goal that you are striving to achieve? What do you want your company to be known for? By starting with the purpose, it becomes easier to develop specific values that reflect and support this overarching goal.

Make Your Corporate Values Easy to Understand and Remember

Once you have defined the purpose of your corporate values, make sure that they are easy to understand. Do not use complicated language or jargon – keep them simple and concise. This will make them easier to remember and apply in day-to-day situations.

Unique Corporate Values Set You Apart

Unique corporate values can help to set your company apart from the competition. By developing corporate values that reflect your unique brand and mission, you can create a strong connection with customers that is difficult for competitors to match. Additionally, corporate values can help to build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business.

Put Your Corporate Values Into Action

Once you have created corporate values, it is important to put them into action. This means living by them and applying them in all areas of the business. When employees see that the company is committed to its values, they will be more likely to buy into them and work towards achieving the common goal.

Examples of Core Values

Corporate values that are often seen in successful business aviation companies include integrity, innovation, teamwork, respect, and customer focus. These values are not just statements on websites and flyers – they represent the principles that define what your business stands for. Some companies choose to list their corporate values on their website or in marketing materials, while others keep them more internal.
Sarah Keates, Founder of WOI said “Getting started with defining your values can often feel like an empty exercise. Words are written by the marketing department that appear on a website or a corporate deck never to be seen or spoken again. There is, however, an opportunity to bring corporate values to life in internal formats including team building sessions or conflict resolution, and in external or customer/peer facing settings such as conferences, CSR activities, or customer complaint management. The values provide a blueprint from which to communicate and act with a clear sense of alignment”.

Here are some examples of corporate values that you may want to consider for your business: – Integrity: Acting with honesty and sincerity in all dealings – Respect: Treating others with dignity and consideration – Excellence: Striving for the highest quality in all endeavors – Passion: Pursuing work with enthusiasm and determination – Teamwork: Working together for the common good

Tips to Define Corporate Values for Your Aviation Business

  • The urge to look up “50 most common company values” or scope out your business opponents may be strong, resist it. Coming up with your own values is more meaningful and will be more resonant with your employees and customers.
  • Be clear and concise when communicating your values. People don’t have time or inclination to read long mission statements, so keep them short and sweet. There is always a way to crystalise a long statement into its most concise and powerful form.
  • Make sure your values are relevant to your industry. If you run a business aviation company, for example, then integrity, safety, privacy and customer service are likely to be more important values than creativity or fairness. Equally, you may wish to look outside your industry to other sectors. For example, the tech industry tends to be at the forefront of values development in relation to diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and employee experience. Business aviation has, to date been traditional in relation to values, but this is changing for the better as more brands recognise that values are an essential way to differentiate and retain talent.
  • As an organisation, “live” your values every day. If you want your employees and customers to take your corporate values seriously, you need to embody them yourself. Be an example for others to follow. Corporate away days are a great way to remind the team of the “why” behind the values, how and why the values serve them, and how to embody them in real life situations at work.
Jet Luxe and Private Kitchen discussing the customer experience
Jet Luxe and Private Kitchen discussing the customer experience
The best way to start is to get the right people in the room with a stack of post it notes. Considering these questions, write down any values you think could fit until everyone has run out of ideas:
  • What makes you proud to work in your business?
  • What do your customers say about how you do business?
  • Why do they matter?
  • How can you live them every day?
  • What should change? Don’t be afraid to have difficult discussions about matters that concern you, like diversity and inclusion, for example.
Now group values together, this will show you where there are strong themes that your team believe in. Refine your list to identify 3-5 values that you believe in fully, and will eventually affect both your actions and be measurable. Your business’ values are already present, you only need to bring them out.

  • Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre has three clear values: Safety, Service, and Style.
  • Jet Luxe values include: Service, Safety, Efficiency, Being Bold, Innovation.

6 Reasons Defining Corporate Values Drives Business Success https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/news/defining-corporate-values/ Fri, 21 Oct 2022 11:31:59 +0000 https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/?p=504073

Corporate values matter. At the core of every successful business is a clear set of values that guide decision-making and help employees perform at their best. These values are more than just words on a website – they are principles that define what your company stands for, and enable consistent brand messaging across teams.

Whether you’re looking to hire new talent, engage your teams or develop stronger relationships with customers, corporate values should be at the heart of every decision you make. If you are looking to take your brand to the next level, start by defining your corporate values and putting them into action!

Core Values Definition & Principles

The Cambridge Dictionary gives a single definition of values: “The principles that help you to decide what is right and wrong, and how to act in various situations.”

Values are not just meant to inspire people, but to promote action. They are a blueprint from which to establish policy, direct vision, and navigate challenges.

At the core of every successful business are corporate values that serve as guiding principles for decision-making and help employees perform at their best. These values should reflect your company’s purpose – why it exists – and set it apart from other businesses in your industry.

Sarah Keates, founder of WOI said,

Without wishing to insult anyone’s intelligence, it’s important that brands think carefully about their values before they announce them. Consumers and B2B peer groups are fatigued with brands paying lip service to values at convenient times (Pride month, Black History Month, Earth Day). At WOI, we guide our clients towards establishing and communicating their values. If these include, for example, ESG, there needs to be evidence of a clear sustainability policy. Correctly, brands are being scrutinised over their position on values and it’s important to act “beyond the words” and evidence substantive intention and action. Part of our role is to ensure the words used reflect the company’s intentions.

6 Reasons Corporate Values Drive Business Succes

Help Employees Perform at Their Best

When corporate values are clearly defined and easy to understand, employees are able to apply them in their day-to-day work activities. This helps to create a strong sense of purpose and unity across teams, and can improve employee morale and productivity.

Improve Internal Communications

We are likely all familiar with toxic work environments. Email battles, micro-aggressions, throwing colleagues “under the bus”, wasted resources, and fear cultures. The list of potential negative workplace issues is be endless. Values help to provide some guidance out of the messiness of toxic work culture.

I will always remember the first place I worked that used the term “blame culture” – as in “we do not operate in a blame culture”. When you remove blame, you remove fear, you allow for creativity and greatness. Values help to provide a foundation to corporate culture that keep everyone on the same page.

Sarah Keates, founder of WOI

Employee Motivation & Engagement

Employees want to feel like they are contributing to a larger mission that aligns with their personal values. Corporate values can play a key role in fulfilling this. When employees feel proud of working for a company that has defined values, they are more likely to be motivated and engaged in their work, putting forth their best effort to contribute to the success of the company.

In a CNBC/Momentive survey, 40% of workers say they would likely quit their job if their organisation took a stand on a political issue they do not agree with. Another survey found more than half wouldn’t even consider a position at a company that didn’t share their values.

Attract & Retain Top Talent

Additionally, corporate values can also help to attract new talent. When looking for a job, prospective employees want to know what the company stands for and what its core values are. By defining your corporate values and putting them into action, you can show prospective employees that you are a company that takes its principles seriously. This can help you to attract top talent and build a team of dedicated employees who share your company’s values.

Defining corporate values is also an important way to help new hires fit in quickly and feel like part of the team. When new employees know what the company stands for and understand its core values, they will be better equipped to make meaningful contributions right away.

Attract Clients That Share Your Values

Corporate values do more than just improve communication within the company – they can also help to improve communication with customers. Corporate values can play a key role in developing stronger relationships with customers. When customers know what your company stands for and what its core values are, they are more likely to do business with you in the future.

Values alignment is more important now than ever before. The clients we represent care about who they do business with and what they stand for. Of course, this won’t always be the case, but we’re seeing more and more weight put on values and how adherence to them.

Sarah Keates, founder of WOI

By communicating your corporate values clearly and effectively, you can show customers that you are a company that they can trust and that is committed to providing excellent service.

Enable Consistent Brand Messaging Across Teams

Developing corporate values is an important way to ensure that your company’s brand messaging remains consistent across all teams and departments. When everyone in the company knows and agrees to the corporate values, it becomes easier to create marketing materials and communications that reflect the company’s ethos. This can help to create a strong, unified brand image that customers will recognize and trust.

Additionally, corporate values can help to ensure that all employees are on the same page when it comes to customer service. By providing clear guidelines for how employees should interact with customers, corporate values can help to create a positive customer experience that reflects the company’s values and ideals.

WOI’s corporate values are Respect, Diversity and Inclusion, Social Impact and Sustainability, and Partnership.

Communicating your core values is essential to creating a successful company. What are your core values? Why do they matter? How do you communicate them to employees and customers

Bombardier Covers the Totality of its Flight Operations with SAF https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/news/bombardier-covers-the-totality-of-its-flight-operations-with-saf/ Tue, 18 Oct 2022 12:24:01 +0000 https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/?p=504019

PRESS RELEASE – Orlando, October 17, 2022

Bombardier Covers the Totality of its Flight Operations with SAF through a Landmark Agreement with Signature Aviation

  • The initiative will reduce the annual greenhouse gas emissions associated with fuel use in Bombardier’s flight operations by approximately 25%, a significant gain.
  • Signature Aviation’s Book & Claim solution ensures rigorous accounting of greenhouse gas emission reductions, while optimizing logistics.
  • The agreement reinforces both companies’ commitments towards the industry’s environmental objectives and sends a positive message to stakeholders.

Bombardier and Signature Aviation announced today they have reached a multi-year agreement for the purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) quantities, utilizing the Book and Claim system, covering all of Bombardier’s flight operations starting in January 2023. The agreement is the first of this scope for a business aviation original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The initiative reinforces both companies’ leadership role in the promotion, adoption and widespread use of SAF.

“Bombardier already has a unique environmental advantage as our production facilities in Quebec are powered by cleaner hydroelectricity. We will drive our environmental stewardship even further by covering all our production flights with SAF through the new agreement with Signature Aviation,” said Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President Services and Support, and Corporate Strategy. “More of our customers are using SAF and so must Bombardier – we must all share in the responsibility for a sustainable future. We believe that taking action today allows us to have maximum impact on the sector as a whole and on the production of SAF.”

“Signature Renew’s Book & Claim program is business aviation’s most pragmatic approach to making the lowest overall carbon intensity SAF quickly and easily accessible,” explained Tony Lefebvre, Chief Executive Officer for Signature Aviation. “Over the last two years, Signature has grown our SAF supply points to 17 global airports, or around 10% of our total network of private aviation terminals. But until we reach the milestone of SAF at every one of our terminals’ fuel farms, Book & Claim gives critical coverage to gaps in supply while immediately taking greenhouse gasses out of the atmosphere. Bombardier’s implementation of its ambitious sustainability plans demonstrates how any fleet operator, big or small, can tackle the challenge of their aircraft’s emissions through bulk carbon reductions, created right here in business aviation.”

As part of its regular activities, Bombardier carries out several flight operations. This includes production testing and certification flights in Canada, notably from Montreal. Flights between Toronto and Montreal are made with Global aircraft to perform the completion stages. Customer demonstration flights are conducted by a team based in Hartford, Connecticut. New aircraft platforms are certified from the Bombardier Flight Test Center in Wichita, Kansas. Finally, after-service check flights are conducted at all Bombardier service centres, including, for example, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Berlin, Germany, and Singapore.

Bombardier’s decision will reduce annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from fuel use in its flight operations by approximately 25%. This is a major annual gain in the near term, supporting Bombardier’s previously announced objective of reducing GHG emissions from all its operations by 25% by 2025, compared to 2019 levels. Bombardier’s 2025 objective is a step in line with the business aviation industry’s goal of achieving a net carbon neutral footprint by 2050.

Sustainable aviation fuels are a blend, in defined proportions, of conventional fuel and fuel derived from approved sustainable sources. The ratio most commonly available is 30% pure sustainable fuel and 70% conventional fuel. Approved sources to produce sustainable fuels are feedstocks such as used cooking oils, forestry residues and agricultural residues. These cannot come from lands with high biodiversity or carbon stocks, cannot compete with the food chain, and must provide a societal benefit through the development of this new activity. The reduction of GHG emissions associated with sustainable aviation fuels is achieved throughout their life cycle, not just at the time of in-flight consumption.

In the current supply context, all SAF is evaluated for its average lifecycle Carbon Intensity, which considers all GHG emissions, from obtaining the feedstock through the process of bringing it to market . Bombardier has flight operations in many locations around the world where SAF is not produced nearby. Therefore, the most effective method at this time is to use the proven Book and Claim system to limit the negative impact of transporting these fuels over long distances.

Under the Book and Claim system, a user located near a SAF production site uses SAF in their flights. The GHG reductions associated with this use are claimed, in exchange for the additional cost of SAF, by another user located at a site where SAF is not available.

“To generate the environmental benefits associated with SAF now and to contribute to its widespread use, we will initially use the Book and Claim system, which ensures rigorous accounting of greenhouse gas emission reductions while optimizing the logistics”, said Gallagher.

Bombardier and Signature Aviation are building on an established business relationship. In October 2021, the two companies signed an agreement to develop diverse suite of services for an enhanced customer experience.

What to Expect When You Fly Private https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/news/what-to-expect-when-you-fly-private/ Tue, 18 Oct 2022 10:50:39 +0000 https://staging.whiteorchidinsights.com/?p=503998

Flying private means having your flight and trip planned to suit your specific requirements, whether you want efficiency or luxury, or both. As the world becomes more interconnected, businesses are increasingly looking for ways to save time and increase efficiency. One way to do this is to use a private jet.

The differences between first class and flying private

Flying private versus flying commercial is essentially a trade-off between cost and convenience. Commercial airlines are significantly cheaper than private charter companies, but they also have many more restrictions in terms of schedule, service standards and destination. Private charter companies are much more expensive, but they offer a great deal of flexibility for your schedule and destination while providing exactly the level of service and support needed.

What to expect when you fly private

Time

You can avoid wasting time when you fly private. There are no security lines to wait in, no baggage check-in process, and you won’t have to spend hours sitting in the terminal. Furthermore, a private charter company can often fly into smaller airports that are not served by commercial airlines, getting you closer to your final destination.

Private jet travellers are in a unique situation in that they can arrive less than an hour before their flight, regardless of the country. That’s because you don’t have to go through the regular security and baggage screenings.

Private planes may fly at the same speed as commercial airlines, but your flight will feel quicker because you won’t have to arrive extra early to stand in long security lines. Not to mention, private jets have a check-in and tarmac time that is shorter than traditional airlines, saving you even more time.

With fewer reasons for any delays at the airport, you will have a much smoother and more efficient flight experience.

Sarah Keates, Founder of WOI said, “For business travellers, flying private is like accessing a time machine. It means you can complete double or triple the meetings otherwise possible and still make it home in time for dinner. Our private jet clients are all about giving back time to their customers. These include VVIPs, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and Fortune 500 companies. Interestingly, the sector is now being more widely utilised by start-ups and SMEs – indicating greater awareness that jet travel “makes sense” when it comes to doing business.”

Privacy

When you fly private, you can expect a much higher level of privacy than you would receive when flying commercial. Private charter companies typically do not allow anyone but the passengers and the crew to enter the aircraft, which means that you will have complete privacy during your flight. In addition, most private charter companies have their own private terminals (known as FBO’s), which are often located away from the main airport terminals. This means that you will not have to deal with the crowds and chaos of a busy airport terminal, and you can relax in peace and privacy before your flight. In Hong Kong, as an example, Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre has just announced its plans for an enormous expansion. This will be completed in parallel with the third runway at Hong Kong International Airport and will provide business travellers with greater efficiency and privacy.

Catering on board a private jet

Personalization

When it comes to private jet travel, personalization is the ultimate luxury.

Unlike commercial airlines, which have to transport large numbers of passengers at once, private jets can be tailor-made to suit the needs of the individual traveller. Typical requests range from wellness IV drips and children’s entertainment to Michelin star quality pet’s meals.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxed and comfortable flight experience or you want to conduct meetings on board and not waste a moment, there’s a private jet out there that can make it happen. Some companies, including WOI client, Jet Luxe, have a 24-hour, 365-day global concierge service that can complete almost any request on your behalf before you fly.

This means that you can choose your own departure time, catering, entertainment, bed linens, and even aircraft type, allowing you to create a truly personalized flying experience.

In addition, private jet travellers also enjoy a higher level of service and attention from the crew. With fewer passengers on board, the crew is able to provide a more intimate and attentive experience, getting to know each passenger and anticipating their needs.

You may request alternative crew or bespoke staff like a bartender or secretary if desired, although most private jet planes require a pilot, co-pilot, and flight attendant. Discuss your goals with your concierge or jet operator beforehand to ensure you receive the appropriate flight crew.

Bombardier SAF

Cabin

Prior to your flight, it is likely that your charter company have inquired about your cabin preferences. The pleasure of comfortable leather recliners with ample leg room can easily be transformed if you plan to sleep on your flight or have other plans that can be accommodated. You may request a seating area for a business meeting, a romantic meal or a place to play fun games with friends, family or colleagues. Most jets have a flexible layout meaning that you could work in one area of the cabin while other members of your party rest.

Your private jet experience offers the flexibility to meet your needs, whatever they may be.

Catering

The food on private jets is a step above what you would find in first or business class on a commercial airline. Private charter planes allow visitors to be extremely innovative in terms of their culinary and drink selections. Many private jet catering services provide passengers with a large selection of menu options.

On a typical private jet, you’ll find a variety of fresh fruits, gourmet cheeses, cured meats, homemade breads, and other delicious snacks. There is also usually a selection of fine wines and Champagnes to enjoy. If you’re flying on a larger jet with a chef on board, then you can expect an even more impressive culinary experience, with everything from caviar to made-to-order entrees. In short, the food on private jets is designed to exceed the expectations of even the most discerning passengers (even pets).

Entertainment

Whether it’s flying to a destination for business or leisure, today’s charter passengers have an increasing number of options when it comes to in-flight entertainment. From personal device integration to Wi-Fi, music, live entertainment, and games, there are a variety of ways to stay entertained while in the air. For those looking for a more personalized experience, some private jet operators offer bespoke entertainment packages that can be tailored to individual preferences.

Hygiene

As Covid-19 highlighted the risks involved with travel, there has been a growing focus on hygiene and cleanliness. One area that has come under scrutiny is air travel, and in particular, the cleanliness of commercial aircraft. Private jet operators have strict cleaning and disinfection protocols in place, and they are able to clean the aircraft more thoroughly between flights. In contrast, commercial airlines have to clean a plane in a very short time frame between flights, which means that they are not able to do as thorough a job.

Without the necessity to travel through the busy main terminal or share the cabin with potentially hundreds of other travellers, private jets offer the best solution for those focused on hygiene standards. Travelling on a private jet will reduce your “touch-points” by over 80% – greatly reducing the risk of getting sick while travelling.

Baggage

Although you won’t have to worry about surpassing the weight limit with your luggage on a private flight, there may still be a space/weight restriction. All items you bring must be able to fit onboard, which might pose an issue if you’re travelling with larger equipment. If this is something you anticipate needing for your trip, be sure to notify the company ahead of time so special arrangements can be made, if necessary. If you’re concerned about your luggage going missing, knowing your valuables are with you on the jet at all times will help ease your concerns.

Safety

Private jet companies are acutely aware of the need for safety and security, both for their passengers and their crew. In order to maintain the highest standards of safety, they undergo regular audits by independent agencies. They also invest heavily in training their pilots and crew members. In addition, they have strict policies and procedures in place for dealing with any potential safety concerns. As a result, private jet companies are some of the safest and most reliable transportation providers in the world.

Private jets offer a number of benefits to their passengers. From increased privacy and comfort to faster travel times, private jets are an excellent way to travel for business or pleasure. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience that will make your journey more enjoyable, a private jet is the right choice for you.
